The office staff was very kind in calling my husband to let him know about how they were handling the recent snow storm and the rescheduling of his visit. I appreciate the communication. The office has gone beyond what I expected.

I was referred over to Austin Vein Specialist by my cardiologist. I have called their office five separate times in two days. On day one all I got was a voicemail saying I was calling after hours. Funny thing is that I called in the morning and in the afternoon during their posted hours. I left my name and message and that I was looking to set an appointment. No return call. Day two I called again during their posted business hours and no answer. When I finally did get someone to answer they were very unprofessional in answering the phone. I again told them my name and that I was referred over to them by my cardiologist. The woman sounded dumbfounded, like she did not know what to do next. I told her that I would like to schedule an appointment. She put me on hold. I waited and waited and waited. Then I was disconnected. Not so sure I want to do business with an operation that cannot even answer their phones in a professional manner.

Dr Gotvald and his staff are awesome. They make the entire experience bearable and stress free. Quiet environment and everyone is attentive to needs. Recommend this surgeon highly, he explains things easily understandable and promotes confidence in his abillitis.

The worst experience ever I had. I called to clinic for appointment month ago. Lady from clinic said that I need pay 50 for reservation and asked my insurance information. I said that I thank my insurance not gonna cover this, but she said we can try and possibly you’ll get your 50 back. She didn’t say about any cost of apartment, only 50 reservation. After I was talking with them few times more and get few emails, no any info about additional payments. And 20 hours before appointment I got call from them and that said I should pay 150 for appointment. I wasn’t ready pay this amount of money, and I asked about appointment cancelation. She said “we can cancel it, but we’ll charge you for 85, because you wanna cancel appointment less than 24 hours before”. I was trying talk to her and asked cancel it free ,because I didn’t know full info before. They weren’t to nice and just said ,that that’s how they are working and I have only 2 options, pay 150 for appointment or 85 for cancellation. Also she said they got info from my insurance company on Friday, so they could let me know on Friday or Monday morning and I could cancel appointment free, but they called me on Monday at 12 is pm, so it was 20 hours before appointment and cancellation cost now 85. Just wanna day, be careful before come to this clinic.

My wife had a recent leg stent by Dr. Gotvald. Another doctor was unable to treat with a stent and had to later do a bypass surgery. The bypass worked for awhile but then failed. Dr. Gotvald spent several hours on her leg and didn't give up and was able to repair the artery with a stent. Her symptoms are gone so she no longer suffers. We are very grateful
